Blog Entry #6: Snapbacks and Kicks=My life
As early as the age of six I have been a sneaker head. Nikes, Adidas and
Pumas are always on my feet from bright pink to a casual all black or white
sneaker. Flats, heels and combat boots were never my cup of tea. Till this day
my mother hates the fact that I would rather wear sneakers than shoes. She is
actually lucky I cannot get away with sneakers in church because if I could I would
gladly wear them. So once a week she gets her wish. I just cannot give sneakers
up, there so stylish and COMFORTABLE.
To match my sneaker collection I also have a snap-back collection. Hats
have also been my love. My love for hats in general started when I was 6. I had
tried on an apple jack hat (older men usually wear them). I had loved the way it complemented me. Then
I met my brother Justin at the age of 10 he showed me his hat collection. I was
in shock. I thought to myself, how can anyone own so many hats? I was just
really impressed. When I was hired at my first job, my first paycheck was spent
on hats. Currently I have about 10 hats and 15 pair of sneakers. I am
determined to pass the 30 hats my brother had.
Snap backs and sneakers are my style. I feel so relaxed and comfortable when
I wear them. I would be lying if I said I owned more than two pair of shoes. It’s
just not me. It’s so funny when I think about my future and the career field I am
studying to successfully be a part of. To be a Physical Therapist I would have
to wear comfortable shore to be durable for the long hour shifts. Which I am
certain will be sneakers. I just believe my sneaker fetish will never end.
